JOB DESCRIPTION

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Mid-Weight Interior Designer with a minimum of four years’ experience to join our in-house design and project management team at Public House Group on a freelance basis for three to four days a week, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate.
Following the successful opening of The Hero to much acclaim and the most recent Canteen in Portobello Road, we are gearing up for several highly anticipated hospitality projects that you can be a part of. This is a unique chance to work on some of the most talked-about luxury restaurant openings in the UK.
In this role, you will work closely with the Lead Designer and Project Manager to help deliver exceptional high-end hospitality projects. We are seeking an individual who has experience in crafting luxury environments but is not necessarily from a commercial design background.

Responsibilities:

Design Leadership

  • Manage in int the team interior design projects of various sizes and budgets, from concept through to completion.
  • Ensure each project aligns with the restaurant brand’s DNA and vision.
  • Collaborate with external design teams, project managers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to deliver on project goals.
  • Oversee project timelines to ensure timely delivery without compromising quality.

Creative Contribution

  • Develop design presentations, drawings, and detailed specifications, ensuring all aspects of the project are meticulously planned.
  • Design and create bespoke furniture, contributing to the unique identity of each venue.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of suppliers and manufacturing techniques to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Project Execution

  • Prepare and maintain detailed specifications and schedules for each project.
  • Participate in discussions with external and internal teams, ensuring cohesive design execution across all levels.
  • Balance multiple projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
