Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Middle - High School English Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators. As an English Teacher (ESL B to 12U English), you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students, fostering their academic growth and personal development. This is a part-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Deliver engaging and interactive classroom instruction to high school students
- Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and other forms of evaluation
- Provide individualized support to students who require additional assistance or have special education needs
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage students in the learning process
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills in students
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum materials
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license in the relevant subject area
- Proven experience teaching high school students in a classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of the subject matter and curriculum standards
- Experience with special education students is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage lesson planning, grading, and student records
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to write clear and concise reports on student progress
