REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in middleware and integration architecture, with a focus on cloud migration projects
• Middleware acts like the connective tissue between applications, data, and users
• Proficiency in middleware from a product/technology perspective (i.e. JBoss)
• Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud
• Experience with APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working in Agile projects
• Must be able to maintain and adhere to specific laptop requirements while under contract
• A background check, 7-Panel drug test, and fingerprinting is required for this position due to project requirements

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or middleware technologies

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Middleware and Integration Expert to join their team for a lift and shift cloud migration project. This role will initially require 10-20 hours per week for 2-3 months, with the possibility of additional hours as needed for deployment support. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with middleware technologies, cloud integration, and migration strategies. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless data flow and application integration during the transition to cloud infrastructure.

• Design, implement, and manage middleware solutions to facilitate integration between on-premises and cloud applications
• Develop and execute integration strategies for migrating existing applications to the cloud while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute lift and shift migrations, ensuring that applications are optimized for cloud environments
• Monitor and optimize the performance of middleware and integration solutions to ensure efficiency and scalability post-migration
• Identify and resolve integration issues, providing support during and after the migration process
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of integration processes, architecture, and best practices
• Work closely with development, operations, and business teams to ensure alignment and understanding of integration requirements
• Provide training and support to team members on middleware and integration tools and best practices
