POSITION SUMMARY

The Helper for our Crating Department is directly accountable to the Supervisors on the floor and the Operations Manager. Primary function will be to accurately package Bellara products as per sale orders. Alternately, the ideal candidate will work as Mill Helpers when volumes are low on Bellara.
Able to organize, control and prioritize area of responsibility and to carry out to completion on an agreed timetable and to abide by all Vicwest health and safety rules.

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:

· Grade 12 diploma
· ISO quality of standard experience

SKILL

· High mechanical aptitude
· Ability to prioritize and multi-task
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent attention to detail
· Good problem-solving skills
· Ability to lift 40+lbs.

Experience:

• warehouse: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In perso

· Loads lumber into saw for cutting to correct dimensions
· Assembles crates and skids with pneumatic nail gun as per drawings and profile required
· Closes packaging in manner to protect products being shipped
· Turns in Crating documents to Production Office
· Maintains a safe and clean working environment
· Performs daily inspection check lists and reports all safety hazards to supervisor
· Completes all safety checks before the start of inspections
