You are a Flour Miller by trade who has advanced into people management, you can now confidently say you are an experienced FMCG Manufacturing/Production Manager, with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience. You are looking for a broader role where you can round out your commercial & people management skills, with a view to succession planning into the next leadership role.

Responsibilities:
This role allows you to take ownership of the entire milling & wheat flour production side of the business. You will have the support of your very experienced peers and the wider company to draw knowledge & resources from. Reporting to the Site Leader, this role is a full time permanent 40 hour per week role, based in Otahuhu.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Day to day running of the Milling and Wheat Intake team
- Oversee operational process, performance and plant efficiency
- Determining, implementing and monitoring production strategies, policies and plans
- Planning details of production activities in terms of output quality and quantity, cost, time available and labour requirements
- Controlling the operation of production plant and quality procedures through planning of maintenance, designation of operating hours and supply of parts and tools
- Monitoring production output and costs, and adjusting processes and resources to minimise costs
- Informing other managers about production matters
- Overseeing the acquisition and installation of new plant and equipment
- Directing research into production methods, and recommending and implementing initiatives
- Controlling the preparation of production records and reports
- Coordinating the implementation of occupational health and safety requirements
- People development, coaching and mentoring teams as well as directing staff activities and monitoring their performance
