Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Mine Maintenance Parts Planner for the Horizon Mine Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for assisting in planning and scheduling all parts acquisition for the Maintenance Department. You will participate in assuring the daily and weekly parts/materials are prepared for all upcoming drafts and approved schedules with little or no issues related to parts procurement or material availability.
- Job location: Horizon Site - Fort McMurray, Alberta
- Shift schedule: 8 days on, 6 days off / 10 hour shift

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Create repair and return POs for all Truck and Support asset units and pdate R&R form as required
- Communicate Direct Issues and Inventoried parts date availability during draft schedule review meetings
- Complete a cross-referencing of the Work Order Parts list to ensure what has been delivered in the kits match part numbers, quantities are correct for Capital Outage & Routine Maintenance Work Scopes
- Support in identifying Complex parts needed with unscheduled Break-In Work Orders
- Coordinate with the Scheduler to load level based on expected material delivery for upcoming schedule draft reviews
- Publish Open Purchase Order reports and submitting them weekly to Leadership and Vendors
- Collaborate with buyers to fill all upcoming material demands for the next scheduling window availability
- Manage material availability reports of all parts materials with T1-12 (3-month forecast) to the Maintenance Business Unit Team
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
- 5 to 10 years of related Mining Supply Chain Industry experience
- 3 or more years of Oil Sands experience is an asset
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP)
- Exceptional problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Analytical skills, ability to work with schedule forecasts and purchase history are required.
- Ability to multi-task under pressure in a high-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of Mining Planning & Scheduling Practices and Principles
- CMMS Maximo & experience is an asset
