Description:
SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY:
- Manage SHEQ compliance within the Department through effective use of the Toolbox
- Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competence (Metalliferous Mining)
- Degree or Diploma
- Mine Health and Safety Act (3.1) appointment
- Commitment to Company Values.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 8 years relevant underground experience, preferably 3 year’s managerial experience
- Medical fitness as per organisational requirements.
Responsibilities:
To lead the Mining Team in the cost-effective optimisation and extraction of the ore body and to ensure compliance of provisions of the Mine Health and Safety Act, Minerals Act and its Regulations.
