INTRODUCTION:
We Are Aeris
Our name ‘Aeris’ comes from the Latin word for copper, which is where our story began. We are an ASX listed diversified mining and exploration company with copper and gold operations in Australia. Our expanding portfolio, development projects, and exploration prospects make Aeris an exciting, growing company.
The Operation You’ll Support
Aeris’ Tritton Copper Operations is located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in Central New South Wales. Our operation’s underground mining complex feeds 1.8 million tonne per annum through our processing plant and our highly prospective tenements package covers about 2,330km2 of the Girilambone basin. We’re a major, regional employer in the local district supporting the community and investing in education and career pathways for local residents.
About The Role
The purpose of this role as a Mine Surveyor is to provide day to day survey direction and control to enable the mining operation to be carried out efficiently and safely.
You will be responsible for conducting mining surveys ensuring development and production operational requirements are adequately implemented and achieved.
You will prepare (and keep up to date) plans and schedules for mining activities and resources required to achieve operational requirements effectively.
Working with a small, close-knit team, as part of a larger Technical Services division, you will provide continual direction and mapping for the development and production teams.
About You
Whilst you’ll ideally have experience as an underground mine surveyor, you may also come from an open pit mining background or be someone who possesses strong civil/construction surveying experience and is looking to change industries.
You are the definition of “Team Player” and possess a natural willingness to help out wherever your skills are needed
You’re highly motivated and have a strong ability to work autonomously as well as part of a high performing team
Ideally you’ll possess experience with Leica Total Stations and are a proficient user of Deswik mining software
As we use a lot of drones in our Tritton operation, any experience in that area would be highly regarded, as well as possessing a Remote Pilots Licence (REPL) or UAV Controller’s certificate.
What we offer
A diverse workplace where your unique abilities and talents will be recognised and encouraged!
5 weeks annual leave
Opportunities and initiatives to ensure your continued growth
8/6 family friendly roster – DIDO or residential only, NSW
Competitive salary package
The opportunity to work with cutting edge underground survey drone technology!
Our Process
Our people rock! While our main business is copper, zinc and gold, we consider our people to be one of our most valuable resources. As part of the recruitment process, there are checks which may be conducted to demonstrate applicants’ suitability for a role including police / criminal background checks, medical, drug and alcohol testing, due diligence checks, right to work checks, and/or reference checks.
