Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson is currently recruiting the following challenging position to join our operations team:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High-school graduation with related post-secondary training; Completion of specialized training or certification requiring up to 2 years of education
  • Prior UG or Survey experience is preferred but Technical and Engineering graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Proficiency with Deswik, AutoCAD, Excel or other mine planning software;
  • Strong organization and time management skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong safety focus; and
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work alone.
  • Self-starter who is able to anticipate needs and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment,
    Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off, 11-hour shift

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting underground surveys;
  • Providing development workplaces with line and grade;
  • Conducting alimak raise surveys;
  • Installing control points;
  • Marking up diamond and long-hole drill lines;
  • Conducting cavity monitoring surveys;
  • Surface stockpile surveys;
  • Drone scans of infrastructure, stoping and historic workings.
  • Generating prints based on survey data; and
  • Prepares standard reports and completes documentation related to engineering;
  • Assists with special projects related to engineering;
  • Maintains records for the engineering department:
  • Ensures records are up to date, in the required format, accurate, and produced on time;
  • Maintains reference material according to regulations and policies;
  • Enters engineering data in the information system; and
  • Other duties assigned by the Production Engineer/Engineering Supervisor as required.
