Description:
INCREASE / SHARE TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE
Increase application expertise and transfer knowledge to others within Caterpillar.
- Identify and document performance issues based on field observation working with customers and Caterpillar Dealers.
- Serves as team members to establish best practices and knowledge share.
- Publish knowledge profiles for review by other specialists as a form of internal training and knowledge transfer.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering (desired).
- Working background in Mining Heavy Equipment Maintenance.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience within Mining Industry or Mining Technology (Systems and Practices)
- Intermediate English
Responsibilities:
- Drive customer recognition of value of Command for Hauling, product feature design, improved processes, and change management.
- Provides technical expertise related to Caterpillar MineStar Technology products, mainly focused on the on-board autonomous technology.
- Provide operational support to the Autonomous Trucks operation.
- Support customers and local Caterpillar Dealers by providing basic product application expertise.
- Consults with site on basic features and processes are in place to support mining technology.
- Benchmarks site performance using several maintenance metrics to ensure continuous improvement on Autonomous truck availability and reliability.
- Recommends MineStar and Mining Equipment Management Best Practices.
- Support customers and local Caterpillar Dealers through the change management process.
- Supports basic training of Caterpillar Dealers personnel in areas of expertise.
