THE ROLE

As a Mining Engineer , you will play a crucial role in shaping the early stages of this venture, leading efficient, safe, and cost-effective mining operations. This opportunity is not just about engineering, it’s about being part of a foundational team, setting standards, and pioneering innovative practices in a fresh mining environment. Your work with the operations team will be integral to implementing safe systems, devising groundbreaking designs, and contributing to the strategic direction of our mining operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Spearhead drill and blast design, including stoping, vertical development, and service hole planning for electrical & services reticulation, probing, pumping, and drainage.
• Delivering comprehensive mine plans and schedules monthly, extending through to the Life of Mine
• Serve as the primary liaison for the Technical Services team in the underground mine.
• Provide guidance and support to operations as necessary.
• Collaborate with the Mining Manager to ensure compliance with Mines Regulations in New South Wales.
• Adhere to all site policies, legislative requirements, and statutory obligations.Conduct hazard reviews, incident investigations, and participate in risk assessments for daily activities and project work.
