• Plan, oversee and coordinate all mining related production activities including physical and human resources and budgets.
• Responsible for the overall management of mining projects.
• Assist in staffing, outlining project plans, setting project goals/deadlines, and evaluating performance.
• Ensure the safety and health of mine workers and recommend corrective action when problems are detected.
• Determine, implement and monitor production strategies, policies and plans to drive operational efficiencies.
• Plan production activities in terms of output quality and quantity, cost, time available and labour requirements.
• Monitor production output and costs, and adjust processes and resources to minimise costs.
• Prepare production records and reports.
• Manage the implementation of occupational health and safety procedures
