Responsibilities:
- Plan, oversee and coordinate all mining related production activities including physical and human resources and budgets.
- Responsible for the overall management of mining projects.
- Assist in staffing, outlining project plans, setting project goals/deadlines, and evaluating performance.
- Ensure the safety and health of mine workers and recommend corrective action when problems are detected.
- Determine, implement and monitor production strategies, policies and plans to drive operational efficiencies.
- Plan production activities in terms of output quality and quantity, cost, time available and labour requirements.
- Monitor production output and costs, and adjust processes and resources to minimise costs.
- Prepare production records and reports.
- Manage the implementation of occupational health and safety procedures
