Description:

We have an opportunity for an MIS Officer to join our Early Years, Education & Social Care Department
The MIS Officer will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of data relating to student details, enrolments, timetables, course set up and planning data.
The role will support the Head of Department to ensure that all data is processed within the guidelines set out by various Funding Agencies, audit regulators and the Colleges various Policies and Procedures.
The role will work collaboratively with various cross college departments.
This is a part-time role working 18.5 hours per week.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
  • GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
  • A customer service or administration qualification is desirable but not essential

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of administration in a diverse organisation
  • Experience of Customer service in a diverse organisation
  • Experience of Management Information Systems in an FE environment

Responsibilities:

  • To support the Head of Department with the processing of data during the Business Planning cycle.
  • Create and maintain an accurate course Masterfile for the department.
  • Work closely with cross college departments to ensure an excellent student administration service.
  • To have an in-depth understanding of funding and audit rules as defined by relevant agencies.
  • To understand the College Fee Policy and how it applies to students.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of student withdraws and transfers in line with the College Policies and Procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring that timetables are accurately recorded on the system and students are on the correct registers.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the student record reflects curriculum delivery.
  • Responsible for correcting ILR and/or audit errors in a timely manner.
  • Support the Admissions & Enrolment Team with the processing of student enrolments.
  • Responsible for maintaining any electronic or paper-based information stored by the department for funding and audit purposes.
  • Be the Departments primary contact for all student data related queries.
