JOB SUMMARY

The Missions and Programs Coordinator – Trade contributes to the success of the Trade team by providing support in event planning, administrative tasks, and performance tracking for both inbound and outbound delegations.
This role will also be responsible in assisting the Specialist – Trade in developing a local export programming calendar in collaboration with the Government of Alberta and support its execution with the trade team.
This is a full time contract ending on March 30, 2026.

EDUCATION :

  • Post secondary education any of Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or International Business is a nice to have, but not a requirement.
  • Minor in FNCE or ACCT is beneficial

EXPERIENCE :

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience.
    Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Trade Accelerator Program (TAP) and trade team on all venue booking, catering orders, and event logistics for Inbound + Outbound delegations and trade programming as needed.
  • Track all Government of Alberta Jobs Economy + Trade funded events
  • Support in the intake of delegations to CED - hosting logistics, scheduling meeting space, ordering catering, securing travel such as bus rentals, etc.
  • Provide boots on the ground event support for TAP cohorts and recruitment events.
  • Support the Trade Accelerator Program (TAP) Coordinator + Specialist, Trade on all contracts, financial invoices, event budgets etc.
  • Support the Trade team and mission leads through:
  • Outreach communication via Slack, email, on networking events.
  • Advertisements and marketing material
  • Contract communications for all logistics through external vendors and internal contracts team
  • In market research prior to mission to develop mission activities
  • Support the TAP + Trade team on all internal and external grant + KPI tracking, data entry, CRM reporting and Trade Programming schedules.
  • Contribute to information collection of new trade deals alumni companies have completed throughout the year in order to track Key Performance Indicators (KPI) progress
  • Support TAP and Trade Specialists on communication with our marketing contact for inbound Trade related projects
