JOB BRIEF.

We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for application development ensuring it fulfils customer requirements. This person will work with our team of software engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications. Android programming works closely with other app development and technical teams.

KEY REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• Software development experience and Android development skills
• Proficient in Java
• Some experience in, or knowledge of, Android app development
• Experience with Android SDK
• Experience working with remote data via XML and JSON
• Experience with third-party libraries and API’s
• Working knowledge of the general mobile architectures, trends, and technologies
• Understanding of the full mobile development life cycle

OTHER DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Knowledge of Xamarin or Maui
• Knowledge of .net C#
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL

• Build applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate to define, build, and deploy new features as required
• Learn to work with external data sources and API’s
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and investigating application performance
• Identify and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
