Are you interested in and enthusiastic about children’s books and reading and would you enjoy working with children in a school setting?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Library Support Officer to join our School Library Service. You will work as part of a busy and friendly team, delivering high quality reading and library services to schools.
The successful candidate will be a supportive team member who will drive the mobile library vehicle and assist in the delivery and administration of our day-to-day service. They must be able to work flexibly both in the office and on the mobile library vehicle and deliver a high standard of customer care.
Excellent driving skills and experience of driving vehicles up to 7500kg is essential along with possession of driving abilities relevant to the role. The vehicle is 4200kg unladen.
This is a permanent post based at Lancashire School Library Service, A128 -A129 Tustin Way, Longridge Road Preston PR2 5LX. The hours are 37 per week working Monday to Friday.

We work with primary, special and nursery schools to deliver reading and library services which are purchased through annual Service Level Agreements. We provide a range of services to help support schools with teaching and learning.
