Description:

MOBILE SERVICE TEAM LEADER

Universal Truck and Trailer is Atlantic Canada’s largest heavy-duty truck and trailer dealership featuring the most up-to-date dealer service bays in Southern New Brunswick and PEI. We are an authorized sale, service, parts & warranty dealership for premium products including Freightliner and Western Star. In addition, we service all makes and models for class 6, 7 and 8 vehicles, including luxury class RV’s.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Mobile Service Team Leader working from our Saint John location. The successful candidate, reporting to the Director of Operations, will ensure the comprehensive supervision and coordination of projects, namely collaboration with all departments, maintaining productive relationships with supervisors and managers, and monitoring of costs and schedules.
Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-Secondary University Degree
  • Experience in heavy equipment industry or automotive repair environment.
  • Truck and trailer experience would be considered an asset
  • Experience working with OEM warranty process.
  • Demonstrated ability to energize, empower and engage team to get results.
  • Ability to deal with conflict and adversity when leading teams through change.
  • Exceptional communication skills, Interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Must be team oriented and an independent self-starter

Responsibilities:

  • Manage productivity of your fleet
  • Achieve results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and coaching employees.
  • Responsibility of profit and loss
  • Professionally handle and manage all issues raised by customers
  • Maintain a safe environment and quality service by establishing and applying organization standards, systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Create schedules and staffing requirements based on priorities and ensure submission of accurate and timely payroll documents.
  • Utilize work/repair orders systems and processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, 5S and Elite support certified.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate record of all repair orders.
  • Schedule regular maintenance, registering and licensing for all mobile unit vehicles.
  • Ensure that mobile unit vehicles and drivers comply with Transport Canada regulations.
