MOBILE VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

Location: Barnsley
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday + Saturdays on a rota
Salary: upto £40,700
Bonus: Uncapped bonus scheme based on hours sold
Benefits: Van and tools provided, 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) with an option to buy or sell leave, company pension.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Vehicle Technician to join our team. This role involves carrying out services, repairs, and warranty work on vehicles at the customers home or place of work.

REQUIREMENTS

  • NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI Level 3 qualification
  • Ability to complete warranty work, including timing chain and cambelt replacements
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, fluid level checks, and tyre rotation.
  • Carry out warranty work
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and issues
  • Maintain up-to-date records of repair procedures
  • Test parts and systems to ensure functionality after repairs
  • Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other components
