Description:

Job Role - Mobility System Engineer
The post holder will be responsible, through the Trust’s ICT Assistant Operations Manager (Infrastructure), for the day-to-day monitoring, management and configuration of all Wireless/Vocera equipment and other associated preferred equipment. The post holder will contribute to the establishment of operational policies, procedures and monitoring processes to establish and deliver an effective and efficient ICT administration in accordance with Trust objectives and priorities.
The post holder will be responsible for the resolution of all Vocera and Wireless incidents including identifying, diagnosing and resolving problems as or before they arise. The post holder will be key to ensuring that all allocated Trust’s performance indicators are delivered.
Location - Belfast
Hours – 37.5 hours per week
Salary – £18.10 per hour

Responsibilities:

· Provide effective and efficient end-user support through ensuring that all Wireless and Vocera incidents are resolved within the agreed resolution times.
· Analyse incidents and trends to identify, log and resolve any underlying problems.
· Monitor utilisation trends and off recommendations on future needs of the Trust.
· Manage, update and create, where necessary, all network documentation including database upgrades, device configuration, RMA processes etc.
· Provide support, assistance and to the Telecommunications Manager as necessary.
· Provide onsite support for reporting and resolving end user issues with Vocera or Wireless equipment, training or end user queries.
· Provide onsite support to professional services team during Vocera live deployments, ensuring sustainable training is provided and finding opportunities to improve end user satisfaction.
· Ensure adequate firewalls and security software are in place to manage, analyse and record all traffic so ensuring the Trust is not compromised by external or internal threats. Working with Vocera to manage severs including software updates and disaster recovery practices.
· Manage access control to all Vocera/Wireless equipment ensuring network rooms / cabinets are appropriately secured with access authorised and logged
· Develop and maintain good working relationships with users, BSO, Trusts and other teams in the ICT Department, 3rd party suppliers and external consultants
· Assist in ensuring Belfast Trust ICT Strategies and policies are consistent with National and Regional guidance.
· Assist in ensuring ICT network function supports the development of clinical and service networks.
· Ensure that protocols governing information confidentiality, security and data protection are complied with at all times.
· Manage the provision of management information as required and in particular, analysing costs, budgets and variances and collating information for management meetings e.g. accountability reviews, performance monitoring and ensuring that requests from other departments are handled appropriately.
· Ensure that a Risk Register is maintained for the network function and all identified risks are managed in the appropriate manner.
· Ensure that the network function achieves the required level of Controls Assurance compliance and that all Controls Assurance documentation is competed in a timely manner.
· Participate in multi-disciplinary projects throughout the Trust as required, which require specialist knowledge of the areas of Vocera and Wireless.
· Support ICT Senior Management Team in achieving quality initiatives including ISO accreditation, ITIL and British Standards awards.
· Assist in establishing collaborative working relationships with counterparts in DHCNI, BSO, HSC Trusts and other stakeholders.
· Attend ICT Networking meetings, forums and training as appropriate.
· Ensure that protocols governing information, confidentiality, security and data protection are complied with at all times.
Desirable Requirements:
· Strong technical experience with Vocera Administration and Cisco Wireless
· Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
· Ability to manage network documentation and assist with security processes
· Strong communication and team-working abilities
