Leveraging your quantitative skills in economics, statistics, data science, and Python (or other programming languages such as R), you will develop and maintain scalable, data-driven solutions. You will also maintain and improve the model codebase (e.g. perform code reviews, identify sources of technical debt), convert business requirements into modelling problems, and engage with business stakeholders to explain model insights. Your work will drive actionable insights for our analytics subscribers and empower strategic decision-making.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.
- Extensive experience in economic and/or mathematical modelling.
- Advanced proficiency in Python (or similar programming languages such as R), including experience using common data science packages.
- Experience working with optimization modelling tools and packages (e.g., PuLP, Pyomo, Gurobi) is desirable.
- Experience using cloud-based computing services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) to host, deploy and execute models is desirable.
- Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket) and other collaborative development tools and platforms (e.g. GitHub, Jira, Asana).
- Knowledge of carbon markets, regulatory frameworks, and emissions trading systems is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A self-starter with strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
If you’re excited about the role but your experience, skills or qualifications don’t perfectly align, we encourage you to apply anyway.
