QUALIFICATIONS
To thrive and succeed in this role, we would expect you to have:
- A Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Cloud, Software, and/or Data Engineer with a strong portfolio of cloud-based solutions.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and with database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Proficiency in enterprise level software engineering, preferably with Python. Knowledge of .NET would be a plus.
- Understanding of data science within computational biology, computational drug design, or genetics is an advantage.
On a personal level, you possess strong cooperation skills while being able to work independently. You have excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail while having the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment. Furthermore, you are a strong communicator, who speaks and writes English fluently.
Responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Cloud Engineering: Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Software Engineering: Develop, deploy and maintain scientific software solutions.
- Data Engineering: Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow and integration.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, bioinformaticians, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
- Continuous Integration & Deployment: Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring of applications.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and proactively suggest improvements to our platforms and processes
