Description:
NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It will be Canada’s first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas. This state-of-the-art facility will be the first of its kind in Canada and is being built with the goal of becoming the foremost battery hub in North America. REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanics/electronics, etc. is preferred
- 3-7 or more years of experience with operators and technicians in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience of trouble shooting or hands on experience for machine preferred
- Some experience with PLC preferred

Responsibilities:
- Advanced machine troubleshooting. Drive troubleshooting and problem-solving activities when equipment breakdowns and target performance has not been achieved
- Data analysis and collection. Collect and analyze the data, inspect products and processes, conduct tests, assist with research and development, and records results
- Line change-over/verification, lead line change-overs, verify proper function and quality is met before releasing the line for full production
- Process and installation Parameter check with based on line standards
- Initiate and foster cooperation and communication within and between departments and shifts
- Machine operation, diagnose machine/process issues and make machine adjustments
- Work on continuous process improvements to ensure the line is operating at its designed level at all times
- Navigate computer and machine programs. Run queries to troubleshoot issues and keep machines running properly
- Assist the engineer during tests or machine inspections to corrective action of production problems
- Maintain 3R(Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and 5S(Sort-out, Set-in-order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) standards
- Prepare and participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with other teams
