NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It will be Canada’s first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. As a Module Production Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating production operations during designated shifts. Your main objective will be to ensure efficient and smooth production processes while achieving set production, quality, and timeline goals. You will play a pivotal role in the production team, supporting other employees and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma/degree in related field
- 1 to 3 years of supervisor experience
- It is necessary to be able to operate the production line stably by operating production equipment, and to be able to control and manage production workers
- An individual with an Exposure in manufacturing/production setting, preferably in battery manufacturing
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- Able to train, develop and educate other technicians.
- Compliant with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations and 3R5S standards.
- Operate the line so that it can produce products and take an action when a simple alarm occurs in production line.
- First judgement a defect and removing defect product.
- Conducting 5s activity and clean up the shopfloor.
- Checking the equipment condition before production.
- Inserting Master Sample on the line so that it can check inspection machine condition.
- Leading and overseeing the activities of production workers during a designated shift, working closely with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient production process
- Collaborating with and supporting the production supervisor in the execution of their responsibilities, while also serving as a bridge between the supervisor and the production team
- Assisting in the training and development of team members, ensuring they are aligned with the supervisor’s training objective
