The Monitor Room is a 24/7 operation that is responsible for cardiac monitoring for all patients in the health system. The Monitor Techs partner with nursing staff so that safe and excellent patient care is provided at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides continuous patient monitoring at a central telemetry monitoring station, recognizing all life-threatening arrhythmias and abnormal vital signs and reporting these to the nurses in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist with admitting and discharging patients from the telemetry monitoring system and sending reports to the electronic medical record.
  • You must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must pass ECG test with 80% pass rate within 6 weeks of hire.
