REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)

Required Qualification

  • Master’s degree in statistics, public health, sociology, economics, or equivalent degree.
  • A Qualification or Certification in M&E is a plus.

Required Experience

  • At least five years of professional experience in an M&E role, with a track record of designing and managing M&E activities for development projects.
  • Proven experience in both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods.
  • Adept at data quality assurance and management systems.
  • Experienced in data analysis, using statistical softwares.

Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of monitoring and evaluation frameworks, tools, and practices.
  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a team and possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proven capability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility to work long and/or irregular hours where needed.
  • Proficient in basic analytics and M&E techniques.
  • Experience in team management and leadership.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing the Kuyakhanya M&E Plan and Logframe. This position is tasked with coordinating M&E activities across a primary pilot site and up to 30 remote sub-sites within the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) region. S/he will oversee quality assurance, conduct spot checks, and manage data collection efforts with support from an M&E Officer to aid in project improvements and iterations.
