JOB DESCRIPTION
CCOR Testing is looking for a Senior Testing Officer who will be part of the Testing Center of Excellence team. This role is a great opportunity to be working with a large Controls Testing team and help establish a newly formed organization which provides the potential hire a good starting point within the firm.
As a Senior Testing Officer within the Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk, you will will perform substantive testing, end to end Compliance reviews and control evaluations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor degree or comparable work experience required.
- 5-8 years banking experience and 3-5 years Operational Risk, Compliance, Controls, QA or audit experience.
- Exposure to one or more of the following lines of business: consumer lending and banking, investment banking and commercial banking
- Strong knowledge of applicable US federal and state regulations specific to consumer lending and banking
- Ability to understand, interpret, and apply regulatory guidelines and standards applicable to each line of business
- Understanding of corporate governance requirements and principles of risk management and compliance principles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS:
- Excellent decision maker with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Certification or training related to US Banking Regulations (e.g. CRCM), Audit, Privacy or other Testing
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and resource management skills.
- Knowledge on some automation tools such as Alteryx, UI Path, Taleau etc.

Responsibilities:
- Manages and conducts regulatory compliance and operational risk testing timely and effectively by evaluating line of business internal controls through the performance of Compliance and Operational Risk testing activities in accordance with the established CCB testing plans. This includes the testing of procedures, documenting results, conclusions, recommendations and distributing compliance testing review reports.
- Generally interfaces with senior and middle line management. Articulates test objectives, sampling approach, test results, issue severity, and overall Compliance and Operational Risk impact to the business
- Consults Legal, Compliance, Operational Risk and other relevant resources from first and second line build test approach, communicate issues, and get opinion on legal and regulatory implications of findings
- Typically makes decisions independently but discusses unusual or complex issues with Test Manager or Head CCB Compliance Testing
- Establish and maintain a consistent dialog and relationship with compliance and operational risk testing peers in the United States. Reports concerns, challenges and best practices that can be leveraged by the larger group
- Accountable to local Compliance Head for status updates and reporting for all testing activity being performed by Corporate Centers Compliance testing team members
- Extensive regulatory compliance knowledge and possesses compliance and operational risk testing skills specific to banking,
