Description:

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Montessori Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children, including those with disabilities. This role involves assisting in a Casa (preschool) classroom, maintaining ratios, ensuring the safety of the children.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting, is highly desirable.
  • Background or coursework in Early Childhood Education and/or Montessori training is preferred.
  • Familiarity with strategies for educating children with disabilities is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while being adaptable to changing needs.
  • A genuine passion for educating young minds and supporting their development in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead guide in classroom management while she presents lessons.
  • Foster an inclusive environment by working effectively with children of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Communicate effectively with students to encourage participation and understanding of educational material.
  • Monitor children’s progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding individual needs and challenges.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Engage with parents and guardians as needed.
