JOB OVERVIEW
We are aiming to amplify our impact and are currently seeking a Film Editor. This role requires candidates who are exceptional in cinematic and narrative storytelling, as well as video editing, with the ability to craft emotional and impactful stories. They will join Paradigm Studio in creating powerful life lesson narratives centered on social issues, injustices, and inspiring turning points. Responsibilities:
- Be involved in all phases of pre-production, production and post-production
- Editing and directing your own short story videos from start to finish
- Leading and creatively directing the story, as well as guiding team members involved in its development (such as scriptwriters, actors, etc.)
- Working with Existing Footage to creative and compelling Stories
- Using Premiere Pro - Building Tension in the edits
- Creating Intense Soundscapes and Climatic Moments with Music and Sound FX
- Compelling Pacing and Emotional Payoffs
- Creative Color Correction
- Mixing and Mastering of Music and Audio for Final Exports
- Creating Simple Visual FX using After Effects (screen replacements, motion- tracked FX)
- Working on 8-12 minute short story videos
- Creating title graphic on After Effects (Animated Banners) as necessary
- Creating trailers to help promote our weekly releases
- Identifying relevant trends, assessing potential in stories and choosing projects accordingly
- Participating in the strategic packaging of Paradigm content for all platforms
- Curating the stories that have the potential to go viral and change the world
- Collaborating with the content team in the growth/performance of the show as a uni
