POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the VP Sales & Origination, the Mortgage Analyst will work in collaboration with several different internal departments and will be the main point of contact for borrowers and mortgage brokers. Assisting with the administrative aspects of the mortgage application and mortgage renewal process, the Analyst will ensure that all necessary information and documentation is received and processed in a timely matter and will have the ability to multitask and easily jump from one file to the next. REQUIREMENTS
- Mortgage Broker Certification (must have within probationary period)
- 2+ years’ experience in mortgage financing, residential underwriting, lending, or real estate in Alberta;
- Post-Secondary education with an emphasis on business administration, finance or equivalent;
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced and collaborative work environment;
- Self motivated with the ability to work remotely from home;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and build relationships with various individuals inside and outside the organization;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize time-sensitive matters;
- Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel;
- Willingness to put in overtime on occasion, to support our clients and provide exceptional service levels;
- Ability to travel to industry lunches, events, client meetings (locally) and training in BC;
- Experience with conveyancing is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:
- Underwrite residential & commercial mortgage investments and create mortgage summaries to be reviewed by the credit committee.
- Prepare, organize and categorize mortgage files in preparation for reviews by directors, banks and auditors.
- Coordinate with lawyers, fulfilling conditions, and see loans through fundings from start to finish.
- Follow-up on outstanding mortgage documentation for both new deals and renewals.
- Foster strong relationships with mortgage brokers and brokerages through daily interaction and industry events
- Ensure that all work is handled in full compliance within company, provincial & federal guidelines and standards
- Other tasks and responsibilities as required. We are a small (but mighty) team of 30 and everyone pitches in to support the overall team.
