Motion Conveyance Solutions (MCS) is New Zealand’s leader in conveyor belting and services, with a strong offering of rubber belting and associated conveyor components & systems.
We are looking for a self-motivated and passionate Technician to join our team in Christchurch.

Responsibilities:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Production of conveyor belts and general fabrication.
  • Installation of conveyor belts (both lightweight & heavyweight applications).
  • Joining belts by hot vulcanizing, cold bonding, and fastener methods.
  • Rubber lining and fabrication of rubber.
  • Repair and service of conveyor belts, assisting on-site work as required.
  • Quality control of manufactured product.
  • Accurately measuring and cutting a variety of conveyor belts and hoses.
  • Checking inwards goods, dispatch of goods as required.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • Good mechanical aptitude and verbal communication.
  • Being reliable, a team player, and physically fit is.
  • Willing to travel outside of the standard territory to we support other C&T service teams.
  • Be available to work after-hours shifts and callouts.
  • A clean driver’s licence is essential.
  • Great Customer service skills.
  • Be conscious about Health & Safety.
  • Able to follow procedures, systems and solve problems.
