Our Role We are seeking an experienced Motor Surveyor to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in motor surveying and will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring accurate claims processing. This includes conducting precise evaluations to ensure fair claims processing, delivering comprehensive survey reports in a timely manner, and providing accurate repair cost estimates to manage expenses effectively. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with repair workshops and claims adjusters to ensure smooth operations. Furthermore, the surveyor is expected to stay informed about industry trends to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of the survey process. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of damaged vehicles to determine the extent of damage and necessary repairs.
- Prepare comprehensive and detailed survey reports, including cost estimates for repairs, parts, and labor.
- Collaborate with claims adjusters, repair workshops, and other relevant parties to ensure accurate and efficient claims processing.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on complex claims, leveraging extensive industry knowledge and experience.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, repair techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Allianz’s policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal and regulatory standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the motor surveying team.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior surveyors, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
Qualifications and skills
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in motor surveying, with a strong track record of success in the field.
- Certification in Basic Insurance Concepts and Principles (BCP), Personal General Insurance (PGI) and Commercial General Insurance (ComGl) with Singapore College of Insurance
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle repair processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in Singapore.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments based on detailed assessments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of motor insurance policies, regulations, and industry practices in Singapore.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for survey reporting and claims processing.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required for site inspections.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in motor surveying or a related field are preferred.
- Open-minded, proactive, receptive to new ideas and cope well with changes and pressure
