JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
This position provides a high volume of excellent, efficient and professional assistance and customer service to the public in person, in writing and via the phone in a fast-paced office. Duties include, assisting customers with motor vehicle titles, registrations and driver’s license renewals; problem-solving; handling/balancing a daily cash drawer; payment collection; and accurate maintenance of MV records. Responsibilities must be completed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
This position performs a variety of accounting and clerical tasks. Works under general supervision with supervisor available for assistance

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist customers in person and over the telephone with questions relating to motor vehicle.
Processes motor vehicle registration renewals by mail, in person and online.
Prepares and issues motor vehicle titles, registrations, license plates, 60 day tags, inspection permits and disabled placards.
Examines documents submitted by customers for motor vehicle titles and registrations.
Determines authenticity, accuracy and completeness of documents provided for each transaction.
Maintains detailed records accurately, securely and confidentially.
Correctly determines fees; collects and makes record of fees.
Process the imaging of title records by scanning documents daily during the title and registration process, renewals and various other MOVRS transactions.
Collect payments over the counter, online and via mail and post collections to appropriate records.
Ability to explain Motor Vehicle information to the public.
Compose correspondence pertaining to motor vehicle transactions in a professional manner.
Balancing and verifying money that is to be sent to the State of Kansas for motor vehicle, driver’s license and sales tax.
Reviewing and approving other co-workers title transactions for accuracy and completeness of documents received.
