Description:
The National Rescue Group is always on the lookout for dedicated, polite, professional people, who are keen to join a well established, ever expanding family run business, giving service to many broken down vehicles and customers across Surrey.
We are looking for an experienced workshop technician/diesel fitter to join our team at our Chessington repair centre. Candidates must be capable of working on their own, as well as in a team, and must have at least two years experience of working in the role advertised. A positive attitude and sense of urgency is required as an absolute minimum.
Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm with optional Saturday overtime if required.
£16.35 per hour, 8 hours per day
Earning £34,008pa (dependant on qualifications) plus plenty of overtime opportunities as well, National Rescue recognises that quality wages attract quality technicians.
Twenty eight days holiday per year (inc Bank Holidays) and Company contributing pension scheme as an optional extra.
External training courses are available for those who wish to expand on their existing mechanical knowledge, including Master Technician (1, 2 & 3), EV, I.V.R. & Driver CPC courses periodically.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair various vehicles.
- Operate hand and power tools for assembly and maintenance tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand complex systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
- Perform heavy lifting and welding as required for equipment repair and assembly.
- Ensure all tools and workspaces are maintained in a safe and organized manner.
