QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Skilled tool designer/tool maker with a theoretical education within tool design with at least +5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Design Control in accordance with EU ISO 13485 & US 21CFR820 Quality Systems for Medical Devices.
  • Experience within tolerance analysis, CAD modelling, SolidWorks, Mould Flow analysis.
  • Experience in high volume medical device Injection Moulding.
  • Knowledge within polymer materials, preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As our new Mould Engineer, we can offer you a central role in an exciting company in constant growth, where you will collaborate across the organization and have a great influence on the projects and processes of which you are a part.
The Mould Engineering Team is expanding, as we are covering all four business units of Convatec globally - Continence Care, Ostomy Care, Wound Care and Infusion Care.
Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the Injection Mould Technology within our Product Development Projects. You will be a focal part of the design phase, and a key driver during the execution and transfer phase.
You will report to Team Leader of Mould Engineering and be part a global Process Development team.Your main work location is in Osted, south of Roskilde, where the production is located. We offer some flexibility of working from home up to two days per week when it fits with your tasks.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate during the early concept phase, to secure parts design for high volume manufacturing (material selection, tolerance, mold flow analysis, design features).
  • Create input to project management, regarding tooling: timelines, cost, volumes, resources.
  • Assist the design team, during tolerance stack analysis, mechanical simulations, flow simulations, and robust design.
  • Develop and specify Injection Mould Tooling, in close cooperation with our Design Engineers and suppliers. From early test tooling to multicavity tooling.
  • Occasional participation in e.g., product design changes, comprising molding tool changes and upscaling.
  • Transfer of molds to Operations, in cooperation with the Advanced Operations molding Team.
