‘Internal MPFT Applicants Only – Open to current band 5 Tenancy Sustainment Officers working in Adult Mental Health in MPFT’
Band 6 – Tenancy Sustainment Lead, 37 hrs a week permanent.
Base - Trust HQ, Stafford. Hybrid working available. (T here will be a requirement to attend Adult Community Mental Health Offices across the whole of the South of Staffordshire).
Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust has an opportunity for a Band 6 Tenancy Sustainment Officer Lead to join the Transformation Team, line managing Tenancy Sustainment Officers across the South of Staffordshire. You will work with teams that puts people at the heart of all that we do.
You will work as part of an Integrated Mental Health Team delivering support and guidance to service users regarding their housing provision. Developing relationships with partners in local authorities and housing associations, working together to improve housing outcomes for patients.

You will provide a single point of contact for Tenancy Support Officers (TSO)
You will provide leadership and supervision to TSO’s and deputise for the Relationships, Contracts and Quality Assurance Manager
You will work alongside multi disciplinary teams providing specialist tenancy and housing related support.
You will work with service users with complex mental health needs, to live independently and remain in their own home if this is suitable for them, or help them finding alternative suitable accommodation
You will act as the main point of contact to answer any queries and troubleshoot issues including but not limited to; homelessness, evictions and repair work that have a Health & Safety risk.
You will also act as the conduit between MPFT Mental Health services and local authorities.
You will assist in the delivery of a high standard of support to service users that have been identified as vulnerable and are unsafe in current accommodation, are at risk of losing their home or may already be homeless. All of which are likely to be having a detrimental impact on an individuals mental health.
Working collaboratively is a key feature of this role. With your regular attendance at external meetings such as the vulnerability hub with some working from partner premises to support relationships and effective working.

The Integrated Mental Health teams work as part of a ’neighbourhood’ offering place based provision of mental health services in partnership with other local organisations. Clinicians within the IMHT will offer interventions and treatments which are concordant with NICE guidelines, and allocation within the team will be based on the needs of the service user, matching clinician skills to service user needs.
You will have a critical role in providing specialist tenancy related support to vulnerable people who are at risk of becoming homeless. You will work with service users with complex mental health needs to live independently and remain in their own home. You will act as the main point of contact for tenants and landlords in order to answer any queries and troubleshoot any issues throughout the life of tenancies.
The service works predominately Mon-Fri, 9-5
