Position Summary:
- Under the director of the immediate supervisor, the Program Assistants, will organize all aspects of the Micro-Mentoring Programs including workshops and events.
- Conceive of a career/mentoring/professional development series theme for the year based on the current cohort needs; draft and circulate concept notes.
- Collaborate on program communications, publicity to students and alumni, update web content, and resources for each semester, compile program material for myCourses.
- Coordinate panelists, moderators, and event social media reporters with the communications team.
- Collaborate with Career Services Manager on all program and event logistics and handling event-day organization and logistics; arranging AV needs.
- Oversee the matching progress and make recommendations for improvement.
- Other duties as required.
Required Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to summarize information and tailor the message to each audience.
- Strong organizational and event management skills.
- Good with Excel.
- Ability to meet deadlines. Able to work autonomously.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn an asset.
