Description:
Band 4 - £20,516 - £22,514 Part -time -29 hours per week. Fixed-term - 12 months offered on a secondment basis. Key Responsibilities: Full training and supervision will be provided. To ensure compliance with the National Cancer Waiting Times standards.
To ensure that the MDT monitors, progress and report all suspected and confirmed cancer cases in a timely and consistent manner against all National Cancer Waiting Times targets. To ensure that the MDT escalates potential breaches of the National Cancer Waiting Times targets in advance of the predicted breach date; to manage such potential breaches so as to mitigate the outcome; and to escalate unresolved potential breaches in a timely fashion to the Admin/Waiting List Manager, Lead Cancer Manager and Head of Performance. To work with senior clinicians and senior managers to resolve potential breaches of the national cancer targets, supported by robust and accurate data; to provide and receive highly complex and sensitive information on patients and models of care to ensure efficient and relevant prioritisation of resources to achieve national cancer targets. To carry out audits as requested by the clinical team Attention to detail and exceptional organisational ability are required for this post, as well as a high level of competence in IT and the ability to remain calm in a challenging environment.
Previous administrative experience is essential, with NHS administrative experience and knowledge of cancer pathways an advantage.
