Responsibilities
  • Leading the integrated sales team (11 employees)
  • Managing all sales and distribution activities in all segments at the local and international level
  • Taking overall responsibility for achieving all sales targets
  • Building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies and measures to achieve hotel sales, revenue and market share targets
  • Take responsibility for implementing Marriott International’s global sales strategy and ensuring that the hotels’ sales activities meet Marriott International standards and guidelines
  • Promote sales efficiency to increase customer satisfaction
  • Analyze available resources to explore new business opportunities (e.g. through competitive analysis)
  • Analysis of hotel market share reports and month-end reports to provide recommendations to maximize results
  • Responsibility for the performance and optimization of all channels, including third-party channels such as OTAs and group distribution platforms, as well as Marriott programs
  • Support in developing the hotel’s positioning in the market and shaping the hotel’s positioning strategy
  • Developing a trusting and respectful business partnership with the owners of the hotels
  • Controlling and analyzing the success of the implemented measures and reporting on them
  • Key account & CRM management
  • Networking and representing the hotel at events and trade fairs
  • Working closely with all relevant departments, in particular revenue management, marketing and finance, to ensure the long-term commercial success of the hotels
  • Promoting the sales skills of the sales team through targeted training and qualification measures
  • Conducting regular employee and appraisal interviews
  • Defining and monitoring the monthly and annual objectives of individual employees and the entire department
  • Supporting the creation of the budget and business plan
  • Participating in all relevant internal and external department meetings
  • Long-term personnel planning in cooperation with the human resources department
  • Consideration and compliance with all Marriott and Courtyard standard
