Description:

Lineage Logistics the world’s largest provider of temperature-controlled logistics. We are a global company with more than 22,000 employees across the world.
We store, prepare and move food-based products for a variety of customers from major retailers to schools, hospitals and restaurants.
Reporting to the Site Manager, the role will consist of proactive as well as reactive maintenance of the warehouse systems of the site.
You will be supporting the technical department with planning activities, instruction and supervision mechanics/operators and optimising the technical process.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in similar industry
  • Qualified NVQ level 3 or equivalent with mechanical & electrical experience
  • Good interpersonal skills and enjoy being in a team
  • Willingness to learn and improve your skills
  • You are able to drive and travel to site
  • Ability to work at height and in a cold environment
  • Ability to work nights
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the field of mechanics, electrical engineering and control engineering.
  • Knowledge of and experience with PLC and PC controlled fully automatic logistic transport systems.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Flexible to offer full support and cover to the site working as part of a team
  • Ability to work and think independently and execute solution oriented challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with the maintenance system Agility.
  • Records maintenance activities correctly, is focused on connections/agreements between these activities and advises on opportunities for optimizations.
  • Keeps track of the consumption of spare parts in accordance with the established inventory procedure, orders spare parts.
  • Advises on modifications and improvements.
  • If necessary, calls in the supplier for the efficient handling of failures/repairs.
  • Works with major repairs when necessary and can support mechanics with complex overhauls.
  • Manages mechanic and operator scheduling and registration in the timekeeping system Protime.
  • Analyse disruptions and sets out actions in Agility.
  • Participates in daily handovers.
  • Works closely with other departments (including Planning and Operator) for timely and correct coordination of actions/work to be taken.
  • Reports unsafe situations, risks and (near) accidents using the correct procedure.
  • Observes the applicable procedures and instructions, such as in the field of food safety, HACCP, Health and Safety, Environment and Quality.
  • Approximately 20% of the time you will be working in a cold environment - approximately minus 18 degrees - just like working in the freezer; but we provide full PPE including coats, hats and boots
  • At times work at height using safety harness
