MULTI SKILLED ENGINEER

at  Pilgrims Europe

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated Multi Skilled Engineer to work on a 4on 4 off shift at our Westerleigh site. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a team working across a designated shift pattern and providing support across the site including our Abattoir, Butchery and Packing Departments.

Successful candidates will be:

• excellent fault finders and have strong mechanical skills with a good working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC’s.
• They will also be expected to accurately record all maintenance work using our computerised maintenance system so strong computer skills are a must.

The Engineering department is crucial to the efficient running of the site and therefore applicants will be required to demonstrate:

• excellent communication skills when liaising with internal departments and external contractors
• a flexible and proactive approach to ensure the overall needs of the business are met.
• Ideally applicants will have direct experience of working with food processing and packaging equipment, however familiarisation training on this specialist equipment can be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

• a recognised qualification for mechanical and electrical engineering
