Annual salary: up to £35,062.50
Multi-Skilled Operative
Main Location: Dartford, Travel across West Kent & Maidstone
Up to £33,000 per annum
Full time - Permanent – 42.5hrs per week (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm)
Including Company vehicle and fuel card
Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT) provides a full range of in-patient and out-patient mental health services across Kent & Medway operating across numerous sites it includes services for older adults, forensic & specialist services and acute services. The Trust has a diverse property portfolio of around 68 sites with an approximate total GIA of. 70,000sq. m spread across Kent and Medway, which provide 24-7 365-day patient services.
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) employs around 5700 staff made up of community nurses, physiotherapists, dieticians, podiatrists, dental staff and many other health care professionals and corporate services. The Trust is one of the largest community health providers in England, serving a population of approximately 1.4 million people across Kent, East Sussex and parts of London Boroughs. This Trust has 33 sites included in the contract.
About the Role:
As a Multi Skilled Operative within our Kent branch, the main duties will include undertaking of duties including but not limited to general plumbing, joinery, flooring, fabric, handyman, all non-specialist PPM’s and repairs. You will be part of a local team undertaking high standard Multi Trade repairs and refurbishment activities to NHS buildings delivering best in class customer service and satisfying all safety, quality, and cost control standards. This role requires successful candidate to be part of on-call rota.

Role Criteria

  • Experience in at least 1 of the following trades: Plastering, Carpentry, Floor Laying.
  • Able to understand & follow standard operating procedures.
  • Able to deal with fast paced environments and adaptable to changing working environments.
  • Must be flexible and able to take on other responsibilities.
  • Team player and ability to work alone
  • Knowledge of working in a critical NHS setting would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of using a PDA is not essential as training will be given – but desirable.
