QUALIFICATIONS OF THE MULTI-TRADE BUILDING SERVICES ENGINEER:

Relevant C&G, BTEC level 3, ONC/OND or NVQ level 3 in a Plumbing, Carpentry, Plastering or Roofing discipline
Full & clean (UK) valid driving licence

The Role
As a Multi-Trade Building Services Engineer, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for the delivery of maintenance across all aspects of building fabric, including plumbing, carpentry, plastering or roofing.
Day-to-day, you’ll undertake pre-preventive, repair, corrective, and reactive maintenance tasks.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Providing maintenance support; including installations in relation to site services, plant, equipment & buildings
Delivering specialist technical maintenance support and services in relation to building plant equipment
Forming part of the on-call rota within the maintenance team
Ensuring robust application of health, safety, and environmental procedures and processes
Overseeing the conduct of contractors on site; monitoring the implementation & performance of tasks allocated, including Service Level Agreements (SLA) dependencies
Ensuring maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level
This role is full-time, 37 hours per week and based at our Shoeburyness site.
Essential experience of the Multi-Trade Building Services Engineer:
Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Tradesperson; proficient in fault finding and diagnostic abilities on components
Reactive and corrective maintenance experience as well as planned maintenance to SFG20 standards
Demonstrable skills in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex and interrelated issues on an ongoing basis
Must be able to demonstrate a full and thorough understanding of operational health & safety and safe working practices
Understanding SLAs, service targets, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Competent computer skills, using word processing and communication software such as MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, MS Teams) and capable of completing essential paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
