Our dedicated teams in Hamilton & Warrington are expanding, and we are looking for a talented Multi-Utility Designer to join us.
As a Multi-Utility Designer, you will play a critical role in the planning and design of utility networks, ensuring efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions for our projects as part of our Energetics brand. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality utility designs that meet regulatory standards and exceed client expectations.
Our Multi-Utility designers will design networks for new housing, industrial & commercial, EVCP and high rise projects and as such you should hold relevant qualifications.

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Experience of designing either single or multi-utility projects in a range of domestic, commercial and high rise settings
  • Experience of CMD regulations and ability to interpret and apply to design solutions
  • Practical knowledge of relevant new roads and streetworks regulations ?
  • Ability to effectively understand and interpret complex engineering drawings and appropriate commercial documentation
  • Ability to adapt to or have experience of commercial / in-house design and costing packaging including Gasworks, Windebut, Trimble or Electric OM

QUALIFICATIONS: (DESIRABLE)

  • SHEA Power / Water / Gas
  • HNC/Degree in an Engineering related discipline
  • Level 4 Gas Design Qualification
  • Registered to minimum EngTech level with IET/IGEM/IOW

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive designs for gas, water, electricity
  • Create cost effective bill of quantities and contract offers
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather necessary data for design purposes.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs are feasible and align with project requirements.
  • Prepare and present detailed design documentation, including CAD drawings and specifications.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, best practices, and technological advancements.
