We are based in St George’s Park, Ditchling Road, within 3 miles of both Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, set within 250 acres of beautiful gardens and farmlands, in an area of outstanding natural beauty with views overlooking the South Downs.
We are looking for someone who is either a qualified Chef, or who is training to become a qualified Chef, with the flexibility of working in any one of our Homes, Retirement Village or Assisted Living development (all within St George’s Park). The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage pressure and prioritise tasks.
As a chef you will be responsible for working within one of our kitchens, including hygiene and cleanliness, Health and Safety and Food Safety, to provide meals for our residents. However, there may be times when you will be asked to work as a Kitchen Porter (with no drop in pay).
You will be contracted to 40 hours per week, but you may be asked to work more when needed, to cover for annual leave and sickness absences, or to to help with functions or events. The role will cover alternate weekends.
