Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Analyzing stakeholder requirements, designing solutions, and developing to meet project expectations.
  • Delivering and supporting Murex, managing the quality of functional delivery, and ensuring effective implementation.
  • Conducting various levels of testing and participating in formal release cycles (SIT/UAT).
  • Communicating principles, standards, and roadmaps to stakeholders, addressing questions proactively.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders in both business and IT, aiding in defining and delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Reporting progress, issues, and blockers to the manager and other stakeholders.
  • Ensuring close collaboration across project team members.
  • Overseeing and managing Murex environments in a project setting, including working with database, network, backup, and security teams.
  • Troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues identified via monitoring or by users.
  • Reviewing existing infrastructure and software configurations to redesign workflows for efficiency.
  • Managing requirements to ensure hardware and software resources effectively support Murex releases.
  • Supporting the Monitoring team in application monitoring and EOD batches across SIT, UAT, and production environments.
  • Facilitating a smooth transition to Business-As-Usual (BAU) post-release.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Economics, Finance, or a Science-oriented field.
  • Detail-oriented, quick learner, and self-starter.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a system/business analyst or consultant/developer on the Murex platform.
  • Experience in delivering projects in financial services, preferably investment banking and risk.
  • Proven ability to gather and document requirements and functional specifications within a project framework.
  • Proficiency in Murex system architecture.
  • Linux expertise: proficient in shell scripting for automation, data parsing, and management tasks.
  • Database knowledge: experience with Oracle/SQL for data management within Murex environments.
  • EOD batch experience: proven experience in configuring and troubleshooting Murex EOD batches (failures, optimizations, etc.).
  • Comfortable working in both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Proficient in writing and executing SQL queries for data management.
  • Maintenance activities: experience with regular maintenance activities to ensure system reliability.
