JOB OVERVIEW

Alleyn’s School are seeking a passionate and skilled Music Department Technician to join our enthusiastic and professional support team.
The successful candidate will provide technical, musical, administrative, and logistical support to ensure the smooth operation of all departmental activities. This includes assisting with concerts, maintaining and managing equipment, supporting classroom activities and recording studio operations, and enhancing the department’s overall organisational efficiency.

This role is based on-site and is offered on a full-time, term-time only basis. This is a fixed term position from Monday 24 February to Thursday 3 July 2025, with the possibility of it becoming a permanent role thereafter.

There are just over 1,100 pupils in the Senior School, of whom around 30% are in the Upper School (Sixth Form). Our main intake to the Senior School is at 11+ and there are further new places at 16+.
We have seven year 7 classes of around 25 children each, with smaller classes common at GCSE. Upper School teaching sets are normally not larger than 14 and are usually sized 8 to12.
