The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group. Based in Acland, a short drive north-west of Toowoomba NAC has played a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002.
As our mine grows, we are excited to offer the next great opportunity for an experienced Administration professional to join our team providing general office coordination and administration support to the New Acland leadership team and departments.
Responsibilities:
As the Site Administrator, you will be responsible for the coordination of the New Acland site office operations and will provide specialist administration support to leaders and the broader departments of Mining, Technical Services and other support areas. Working independently, you will have experience identifying opportunity for process improvement, removal of duplication of effort and an overarching commitment to optimising business support.
You will achieve success by:
- Effectively manage the day-to-day activities associated with New Acland’s management team (including diary and travel management, meetings coordination) to assist in meeting departmental and company requirements within allocated timeframes
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring administrative processes to ensure smooth operations and cost-effective use of resources
- Coordinating and collating business information across New Acland and assisting in the preparation of reports required for internal and external parties within required timeframes (including daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly operational performance reports)
- Developing, communicating and implementing efficient and effective administration systems within sphere of responsibilities and budget constraints to meet business requirements
- Assisting with internal event management and planning
- Ensuring supplies are up to date, including kitchen, stationery, and general office housekeeping
- Coordinating travel and accommodation bookings for key staff and supervisors
