Are you ready to lead the charge as our National Cloud Team Leader? You will lead a dynamic team of Cloud Architects and Engineers, spearheading the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. Your role is crucial in ensuring flawless cloud operations, optimising resources, and driving innovation to meet the ever-evolving needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Leadership: Provide leadership to the Cloud Services team, setting strategic goals aligned with organisational objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvements.
Strategic Development: Develop and execute strategies for the adoption, integration and optimisation of cloud technologies to enhance operational efficiency, scalability and cost-effectiveness.
Infrastructure management: Oversees the design, deployment and management of cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking and security components – in-line with core operational teams. Ensure high availability, reliability and performance of cloud services.
Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with cloud services providers. Manage service level agreements (SLAs), operational issues, cloud roadmaps by staying abreast of emerging technology and trends
Team Development: Recruit and mentor a high performing team of cloud engineers and architects. Provide guidance on best practice, methodologies and certifications to enhance skill sets and career development
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risk related to cloud operations, data security, compliance and regulatory requirements. Implement robust backup, disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Cost Optimisation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, development and business units, to align cloud initiates with business goals and requirements. Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments.

About you
Essential
Proven experience in a team leader role, managing cloud services
5+ years of in-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS (Primary) and Azure) and services
Experience in Cloud transformations – migrating from on-premises to Cloud
Strong understanding of networking, security and compliance principles in cloud environments
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset
Desirable
Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus
