As a senior member of the Prestige team, you will be responsible for driving value and impact for our portfolio across all channels, from an e-Commerce perspective. As a key growth channel, your cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration will be critical in sharing best practice and elevating our broader business.
Meaningful Work From Day One
This role is first and foremost a sales role integral to the Prestige Team of B-F, driving strategy & performance for B-F UK’s e-Commerce business & accounts. The key responsibility will be to lead the development, management and implementation of an integral & robust e-Commerce strategy, achieve successful results, drive commercial growth in value, volume & distribution across BFs portfolio while building long term partnerships with key customers - with a particular focus on Super Premium brands.
This role reports directly into the Head of Prestige, with matrix into the Head of Off Trade, and works closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders including National Account Managers, trade-marketing teams, local and global teams that will support you in the definition of sales, distribution, promotion goals and commercial strategies while driving innovation in the digital & e-Commerce space. You will also work across established, effective and trusted business partnerships across all relevant business functions including category, supply chain, marketing, trade-marketing and finance and provide clarity to the Sales and UK leadership team on business performance and future outlook for B-F’s e-Commerce. You will also engage heavily with your EU / Global colleagues, supporting and shaping the wider e-Commerce strategy.
This is a home based role that can be based across the UK.
What You Can Expect

Team Management & Development

  • Provides strong leadership and direction to 2 direct reports
  • Acts as a role model of B-F values and culture
  • Develop and nurture a team of high performing national account managers through mentoring and training
  • Leads a diverse and inclusive culture where different perspectives are encouraged and individuals feel connected and valued
  • In collaboration with HR department, identify the organisational capability gaps and addresses them through appropriate learning and development programs
  • Supports team development by providing opportunities and coaching to the team with on-going appreciative & constructive feedback

Strategic Leadership

  • Responsible for delivering and optimising the UK e-Commerce strategy across all channels
  • Drive strategic plan for e-Commerce, demonstrating where and how Brown-Forman UK can accelerate growth and transformation in e-Commerce
  • Help to shape the overall Prestige strategy with particular focus on sharing learnings between e-Commerce and the other teams (including Global colleagues)

Improving Capabilities & Championing E-commerce

  • Be a champion of e-Commerce both internally and externally with our key retail partners (including pure players)
  • Collaborate in relevant projects and Regional/ Global e-Commerce teams to ensure that BF-UK adopts best in class e-Commerce capabilities.
  • Identify training and resources required to thrive in e-Commerce.
  • Identify and prioritise key capabilities that should be honed or gained in order to accelerate e-Commerce performance.
  • Provide specialist expertise to brand teams concerning emerging opportunities in the digital marketing arena (where relevant to e-Commerce)
  • Keep abreast of competitor performance and changes within this fast changing E-commerce market.
  • Be mindful of innovation needs and drive trial of new technology to ensure that Brown Forman is competitive.

Business Development

  • Meet/exceed annual volume & profit objectives of all brands across e-Commerce
  • Challenge and leap frog competition providing an outstanding connected consumer experience throughout the path to purchase.
  • Works closely with Sales Directors, Head of Off-Trade and other internal stakeholders on development of business and portfolio strategies, yearly budgets and quarterly projections, trade terms, price structures, profit margins;
  • Participate in regular team meetings with Digital Marketing and Customer Marketing to manage the development of e-Commerce
  • Maximise new business development opportunities;
  • Recommends actions to adapt to changes on a proactive basis;

Commercial Planning

  • Support sales leadership team in developing and defining annual plans
  • Develop and communicate annual commercial strategy and work to align it with the overall UK commercial strategy including goals and KPIs.
  • Work with sales, marketing & Customer marketing teams to develop annual promotional plans adhering to BF-UK´s JBP process and planning process
  • Work closely with Finance to manage annual budgets
  • Work closely with Supply chain to ensure product availability

What You Bring to the Table

  • E-Commerce experience gained in FMCG or retail
  • Proven ability to drive change through e-Commerce and digital management
  • Substantial experience in planning, executing and optimising traffic driving initiatives and consumer marketing comms and consumer engagement, through a mix of digital channels, in order to drive purchase
  • Strong understanding of end to end shopper experience, including marketing, customer service and fulfilment
  • Strong Business Acumen, P&L experience
  • Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated people management experience
