Responsibilities:

No two days are the same; this role is diverse, with depth and breadth to cement your career, now and into the future. Areas of core responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and continuously improve the facility management program, covering both repairs and maintenance activities, as well as asset replacement and minor capital works activities.
  • Implement and maintain best practice framework including systems and processes to increase organisational efficiency and risk mitigation in relation to facilities management.
  • Manage the relationships with contract suppliers to ensure performance expectations are met, including overseeing the monitoring, measuring and reporting of performance for all relevant contractors.
  • Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met on time, to standard and on budget.
  • Develop a high performing Facilities team to deliver effective facilities management while meeting all safety, quality, cost and time expectations.
  • Lead a positive, performance team culture to successfully grow and build team engagement, empowering the team to find solutions.
  • Articulate and set specific individual development goals with direct reports to build current and future capability and competency as measured through behavior and achievement reviews.
  • Ensure effective team communication between the Facilities team and the Centre and Support Office Network.
  • Full responsibility of delegated budget to ensure expenditure on an annual basis is managed within relevant budget settings.
  • Cooperate with G8 in relation to activities taken by the company to comply with WHS legislation.
  • Key accountability to the Executive Leadership Team

  • 10+ years’ experience in a Senior Leadership role across an ASX – Listed organisation with a multi-site national portfolio is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability in problem solving and effectively influencing stakeholders to embrace and drive change.
  • Proven experience within a similar large-scale property, facilities management or corporate environment.
  • Good working knowledge of facilities management and Early Education operations requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities management systems and related software.
  • Demonstrated skills in project management, procurement, negotiation and contract performance management.
  • Strong understanding of proper safety practices and procedures.
  • Proven ability to read and understand blueprints and/or schematic diagrams.
  • Proven leadership capability recognised as a values-based leader with strong coaching and mentoring capability.
  • High level organisational skills and with a practical, flexible and innovative approach to work to meet the needs of the business.
  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to engage constructively with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated flexible thinking style, acutely aware of own strengths, development opportunities and impact on others.
